Sugith has extensive screenwriting credits on programs that range from crime drama to the Muppets, including The Phoenix Team, Fraggle Rock, Mount Royal, Blue Murder, and Blobheads. His work has garnered numerous awards including a Writers Guild of Canada award for the first three scripts in his collection of animated short film scripts for the NFB called "Talespinners". His script for "The Secret Life of Goldfish" received a Gemini nomination and he won the York Trillium Award for Most Promising Writer - Television. As a writer-director graduate of the Canadian Film Centre, his short film "Kumar and Mr. Jones" was nominated for a Genie and also won three international awards. As an actor, Sugith has appeared in more than 65 films and television programs, radio plays and on stage.
